What does sensitive skin need?

Sensitive skin can sometimes be quite challenging: It quickly reacts with redness, feelings of tightness, or even minor irritations. Therefore, it is especially important to look closely at which ingredients go into your skincare routine – and which ones are better avoided.

What sensitive skin doesn't like:

Certain substances can weaken the skin barrier or trigger irritations. These include:

  • Aggressive surfactants: They dry out and disrupt the natural balance.

  • Alcohol in high concentrations: Refreshing in the short term, but drying in the long term.

  • Synthetic fragrances and colorants: Frequent triggers for redness and intolerances.

  • Baking soda in deodorants: Popular in natural cosmetics, but can be highly irritating, especially for sensitive skin.

Better then: gentle, natural active ingredients that soothe, nourish, and strengthen the skin barrier.

Gentle Power for Sensitive Skin

In our Queen of Green products, we rely on highly effective yet skin-friendly raw materials that not only nourish your skin but also make it more resilient:

  • 🌼 Calendula extract: Soothes, reduces redness, and supports regeneration. Perfect when skin is stressed. Therefore, you will find this powerful active ingredient in all (!) Queen of Green products.

  • 🥥 Macadamia nut extract: Rich in nourishing fatty acids, strengthens skin elasticity, and provides even sensitive areas with intensive moisture. It is included in all our lip care sticks.

  • 🌸 Almond oil: A true classic that protects the skin barrier and reduces irritation – especially mild and universally applicable. Therefore, it is also often used in baby care. You can find it in our Lipbalm "Caring Caroline" or in the Deo "Fresh Flora", for example.

  • 🪄 Hyaluronic acid: Moisturizes, plumps fine lines, and provides freshness – without weighing down. Since hyaluronic acid also occurs naturally in the skin (unfortunately less and less with age), it is usually very well tolerated – even by more sensitive skin.

  • 💛 Jojoba oil: Strengthens the skin barrier, has anti-inflammatory effects, and protects the skin from drying out. This "liquid gold" is suitable for all skin types and even protects against premature skin aging. It's clear why we like to use it, for example, in the skincare "Helpful Helena".

Conclusion

Sensitive skin needs gentle, but also natural ingredients that soothe and strengthen it. Therefore, we consciously avoid irritants and instead rely on the power of calendula, macadamia, almond oil, and co. – for care that works and is good for both skin and the environment.
